There’s always the Cliff, Jason, Rob debate with every Metallica video. Cliff and Jason were the heart and soul (respectfully) of Metallica. Rob is a better bassist than both of them combined. Whenever anybody goes to listen to Metallica they go and listen to Cliff and Jason’s stuff. Another way to see it would be if James left the fooking band after a VH1 concert and in return Lars hired Josh Groban to be lead singer. Josh Groban is undeniably a better singer than Hetfield but it wouldn’t be the same because James brings one of the things that makes Metallica what it is.
